Save Your Photos... The Right Way!

For all of our on-set productions this season, Innovative Arts has hired a professional photographer to capture the action! In the past, we've noticed students may have been confused on how to download and share them, either choosing to screenshot them from the site, or posting them at a low resolution, so we're here to present this comprehensive guide to saving and sharing the photos, to ensure they look AMAZING!

1. Look Out for an Email
A short while after your production has wrapped filming, look for an email from Sophie with a link to download your photos. It will include

2. View the Gallery
Once you have clicked on the link from the email and entered the password, you can begin browsing through hundreds of photos of your cast! Click on any photo to enlarge it, and mark your favourites with the ♡ button (you will need to enter your email to create your personal album.)

3. Download Your Favourites!
After you have chosen your favourites, click the heart at the top of the gallery to view your favourites folder. Click "MY FAVORITES" and from there, select the ↓ button, re-enter your email, choose "High Resolution", then "START DOWNLOAD". Once your download is ready, click the rectangle(s) that finish with .zip to download them to your computer or phone. After they have been downloaded, open the folder, and they're yours!

4. Share Them Everywhere!
Once you have the actual photo files, you're free to do whatever you'd like with them! Need some inspiration? Try one of these ideas!

  • Send your favourite photos to your friends and family! Sending by email will ensure they retain their quality (text messages and social media DMs usually compress the file).

  • Post them to your Instagram or Facebook! Grouping portrait shots together and landscape shots together is a great idea so that you don't need to crop any. Portrait shots also look great as Instagram or Facebook stories! You can even add some music to complement the image!

  • Turn them into a DIY! You can print out your photos and place them into a frame, create a journal spread with them, add them to your phone case, or craft with them to your heart's content!

  • Make a TikTok with them! There are plenty of musical theatre TikTok trends out there! You could make a slideshow, choose some silly ones to make a joke out of, or just show them off with a cool audio! If you do make one, be sure to tag us so we can see it!

Whatever you do with your photos, we want to see it! Be sure to tag us on Instagram @innovativearts, Facebook @InnovativeArtsMusicalTheatre, and TikTok @innovativeartsmt! It's also nice to credit the photographer. Our photos were taken by the incredible Pascal Lee so if you're able to, be sure to add his name to ensure he gets credit for his work! That's all for now! We can't wait to share what's next with you all, so stay tuned for July 7th when we announce what's coming this Fall!
